Access to Care (ATC) is a primary health care program for low-income, uninsured and under-insured residents of suburban Cook County and northwest Chicago. It is a health care safety net for those individuals who cannot afford to purchase insurance, even with the options available through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Increasingly, Access to Care also fills the gap in coverage for the under-insured who purchased health care insurance at low premiums on the ACA health exchanges, but cannot meet the corresponding high deductibles.
Access to Care enables access to an ongoing affordable source of care for these diverse and vulnerable populations.
Access to Care needs your support to ensure we can continue our efforts.
YOU can make a difference!
DONATE NOW
Access to Care is doing wonderful and meaningful things to help so many individuals and families, but we still have much to do! Your partnership will help us achieve our goals in 2023.
Thank you for your contribution!
Matching Gifts
You Can Double the Impact of Your Gift! Many corporations have matching gift programs and will match your donation to accredited charitable organizations such as Access to Care. It's an easy way to double or even triple the impact of your donation. Ask your employer if they participate in a matching gift program and complete the necessary paperwork to have your gift matched.
Additional benefit for donations, did you know?
There are significant tax benefits, even if you don’t itemize, when you donate directly to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You may be able to donate appreciated stock and not pay tax on the gain, or you may be able to give from your retirement accounts, such as an IRA, 401(k), etc., and not pay tax on the distribution, provided it is given directly to the charity. The rules are specific, so please ask your financial or tax advisor. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
